Bring your self, your family, and tell a neighbor about our annual Neighborhood Spring Clean Up Day which will be Saturday, April 16th at 10:00am.  Bring your work gloves, a bottled water and meet at each respective neighborhood entrance.  We will divide up common areas to be cleaned of garbage and debris and will provide the garbage bags.  Help us keep our neighborhood looking great and ready for a beautiful spring!

Also, mark your calendars for the annual Neighborhood Garage Sale!  The sale will be advertised in the Indianapolis Star and the Topics along with signs at each entrance to help attract business.  Time to clean out that basement and garage and make a few extra dollars.  The garage sale for The Legends neighborhoods will be Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st from 8:00am-2:00pm.

Hello all Neighborhood Watch Participants,
Since January 18th, we have taken 6 reports of residential burglary (5 of these 6 have occurred since last Thursday). The vast majority of these burglaries (or attempts) have occurred during daylight hours mostly along the Cumberland Road corridor from 96th Street to 131st Street. The suspect/s gained entry in all of these cases by kicking-in or prying open the front doors. Jewelry and/or electronic items were stolen from each home while the homeowners were out. The mentioned burglaries have occurred in the following areas:
*1-18-2011 10200 block of Bent Tree Lane (96th and Cumberland Rd)
*2-09-2011 7300 block of Catboat Court (106th and Allisonville)
*2-12-2011 10300 block of Lakeland Drive (96th and Cumberland Rd)
*2-13-2011 10300 block of Springridge Ct (106th and Cumberland Rd)
*2-14-2011 12900 block of Shandon Lane (131st and Cumberland Rd)
*2-14-2011 9600 block of Aberdeen Court (131st and Cumberland Rd)
*2-10-2011 burglary attempt on Silverstone Drive (116th and Olio Rd)
Lawrence Police and Carmel Police are reporting multiple burglaries in their
jurisdictions also. Our detectives are actively engaged with these investigations and are asking our residents to immediately report any unusual persons or vehicles seen within our neighborhoods and to especially be on the lookout for a light colored Chevrolet Monte Carlo or Lumina that is possibly missing hub caps on the driver’s side. This vehicle was possibly seen with multiple occupants inside it near one of the burglarized homes. Please help us protect you by remaining watchful in your neighborhoods and calling to report any potential helpful information in these cases.

Raymond was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on March of 1945 to Wilfred and Margaret Desrosiers.  He was the middle of five children, having three sisters and one brother.  Raymond graduated from Diamond Vocational School and then joined the Air Force in 1963.  He was ranked as Staff Sergeant (E50) and served 3 tours in Viet Nam.  While stationed in Colorado, he met and later married Shirley (1967), where she was enrolled in flight attendant school.  They loved traveling, golf, visiting with friends and family, and teaching others about Christ.  They were happy to return to Indiana where they were able to enjoy their home with the view of Ironwood Golf Course.  They are sadly missed by their friends and family and we hope this tree will pay honor their very meaningful lives.

 Over the course of the past month and a half we have had at least 14 thefts of golf clubs from open garages. It appears the thefts are occurring from noon to early evening. Two victims of thefts have reported a dark red coupe, possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix or Grand Am late 1990’s early 2000’s, seen in the area. The suspect observed is a white male, 20-30 years old, shaggy brown hair, 5′10″, thin build. Most of the thefts have occurred around the Ironwood Golf Course, Grey Eagle Golf Course, and Windermere Neighborhood.
